TCS to hire 37,000 freshers, No test for engg grads with 70%

In a move to fast-track recruitment, IT firm TCS has announced that fresh engineering graduates with a good academic record can directly appear for interviews, skipping the entrance test that other applicants have to take.

Engineering students that have consistently scored over 70 per cent throughout their academic career can "leapfrog" directly to the interview stage, it said in a release.

The system is being implemented from the current hiring season in which TCS plans to make offers to a total of 37,000 fresh graduates. It is being introduced as a pilot project and many pass-outs are already taking advantage of it, a TCS spokesperson said.

Based on the performance of fresh graduates hired earlier, the company has graded engineering colleges in the country and only students that fall in A, A+ and B category institutions can avail of the scheme, the release said.

"The written test is more to check your aptitude and we think the academic consistency takes care of it," the spokesperson said. The company has already made offers to 23,500 graduates from 171 colleges in the current hiring season. Many of them that have a good academic record did not sit for the written test, the spokesperson added.

'm at the point in my life where I'm starting to look at schools, and was hearing a lot of mixed things about schools such as Digipen or Fullsail that target game development specifically. As someone who is planning on becoming a programmer and getting into the games industry, would getting a game development degree be better than a traditional computer science degree?

China might attack India in future !!!

I do not see any reason for CHINA not to attack India.

1) India's future energy need is challenging CHINA

2) India's share in business and export might hamper CHINA's lion's share.

3) Breaking India gurantees China's supremecy in south and south east asia.

4) China's hunger for land is not same as India's liberal and democratic behaviour.

5) By product of broken Federation of India will be open access to Chineese business.

6) Limit world's united nation's VETO power to only existing members.

7) China's live border dispute to end with.

It is better for the people of the country of Chanakya to understand and have vision to upcoming crisis early to defend their motherland and to take necessary steps

What we must realise is that the way we are going we will always be behind China. Untill we realise this we will never be able to take corrective measures.so come on india,,,wake up,,the govt must be attentive.....
